About the Authors

Hiroshi Karibe is President of the Japan Association for PEO (JAPEO) founded in 2004 to provide guidance to PEOs/HROs and assist Japanese companies take advantage of products and service to improve operations and better meet the needs of their customers.

Previously, he established the Japan franchise of Challenger, Gray & Christmas KK, the U.S. firm that pioneered the placement business in America. Hiroshi served on the Board of Directors the last five years. Before for 23 years he enjoyed a variety of management positions with the Japanese DuPont Company subsidiary DuPont KK. Hiroshi has a Law Degree from Toyo University, Tokyo and a Masters Degree from Morehead State University, Kentucky. He is the author of three books and numerous articles and presentations. The latest book, Employment Revolution with PEO: The New Employment Business in the USA, co-authored with Dr. Kenneth A. Polcyn, was published in Japan 2004 by Toyo Keizai, Inc. Hiroshi is a frequent visitor to the United States.

Dr. Kenneth A. Polcyn, with over 30 years experience, is Senior Consultant at organizational development company Deva Industries, Inc. He has worked as a consultant to the outsourcing industry since 1991. Before, for 15 years he was CEO, President of Communications Technology Applications, Inc. (CTA) an outsourcing provider primarily to the federal government. Previously Ken was Division Director, Operations Research, Inc., and Project Director at Planning Research Corporation and Martin Marietta. His work includes projects in Europe, Central and South America and Asia specifically in Japan, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Ken is the author of several hundred articles, presentations and books. Two books released in 2004-Outsourcing: PEO to HRO Operational Issues was published in the U.S. and Employment Revolution with PEO: The New Employment Business in the USA, co-authored with Hiroshi Karibe, was published in Japan. Ken is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, Society for Applied Learning Technology and served on the Boards of CTA, Lycoming College and CMCS. He has been a frequent lecturer at Florida institutions of higher learning, government agencies and national professional organizations.
